One of the best — and free — outdoor holiday lighting displays in northeast Ohio is the one that lights up GE Lighting’s Nela Park headquarters on Noble Road in East Cleveland, now in its 97th year.
This year’s theme is “Holiday Season Is in the Air.” The lavish display features nearly a million LED lights, grouped into nine vignettes grouped in displays featuring hot air balloons; baskets of gifts and cards; Santa’s reindeer; snowmen and snowflakes; and a giant iPad that controls the rotating colors of the holiday pole trees. Colored Christmas lights will adorn the buildings of the display, which stretches for several blocks along Noble Road above Euclid Avenue.
Visitors can drive by to view the display and look from their cars, or they can social distance outside and stop by the hot air balloon selfie station. The display will be lit up through January 3.
