Once again, the giant tree on Public Square will be lighted in an official public ceremony and festivities will spread out like tentacles around downtown Cleveland when Winterfest kicks off on Saturday November 27.
The official tree lighting ceremony takes place from 7-8pm with the tree lighting (also viewable online) at 7:30, followed by fireworks. Before and after, there’ll be musical performances, appearances by Santa, food trucks, ice skating on Public Square, carriage rides, a family fun zone, fire pits with s’mores, visual arts demonstrations, and shopping opportunities, such as a local vendor marketplace inside the 5th Street Arcades hosted by the Cleveland Bazaar and a Mr. Jingeling pop-up shop in the Halle Building.
