Make a Getaway to Geneva on the Lake & Tour the Area’s Covered Bridges

Through 11/30 @ 1-5PM

Ashtabula County is known for its lovely historic covered bridges. It’s got 19 of them in a variety of designs and sizes, including both the shortest and longest covered bridge in the U.S.

Ashtabula County celebrates the bridges with its Covered Bridge Festival each year the second weekend in October. But if you missed it, you still haven’t missed out. The Lodge at Geneva on the Lake offers an afternoon-long guided tour featuring up to 13 of these bridges, with a guide that assures you not only won’t get lost but will share some of the history of the bridges as you travel. Number of bridges visited depends on time spent at each bridge. There will be a bathroom and shopping stop as well as a stop where you can purchase a meal.

The tours take place Sunday-Wednesday through November 30. Cost is $45 and advance registration is required. Go here to book them and learn more about the bridges you might visit. Book your stay at the Lodge here and enjoy a relaxing fall breather before the holiday craziness.
