Keep your eyes open.

Things are happening fast now. The venerable, one-of-a-kind Cleveland Cultural Gardens are expanding with Albanian, Azerbanjani, Armenian, Ethiopian and Vietnamese Gardens recently added, and a Mexican Garden on the way. Check out our photos of last Sunday’s One World Day by our very own Anastasia Pantsios.

The itinerant Joseph Allen Beltram unveils his new album at the Beachland, the FireFish Festival will set things alight at the Fire It Up! Broadway Block Party & Art Walk in Downtown Lorain, the Hungarian Scouts present music, dance and a massive offering of food in Parma, and artist/poet/educator/performer Ephraim Nehemiah exposes the impacts of poverty in his installation at Akron Soul Train.

And if performance art is your thing, join us in a couple weeks as we revisit the Cleveland Performance Art Festival (1988-2003) that I had the privilege to organize. We’ll be digging up rare video archives, and hearing from artists, panelists, academics and crew that were there. If you were involved in any way (artist, audience, etc.) send us a video, and we’ll see if we can include it. And if you weren’t there, you might not believe your eyes. It could be very revealing.
