Since he released his first solo instrumental album in 1992, shortly before leaving his eponymous melodic hard rock band behind, guitarist Neil Zaza has forged ahead, making album after album, touring in Asia and Europe, creating signature products, like videos, guitars and tablature books, and putting together spectacular shows such as his Halloween extravaganza One Dark Night, which returns to the Akron Civic Theatre on October 29.
Meanwhile, as part of Akron Civic’s grand reopening week, Zaza and his band will do a scaled-down intimate show at the new 200-seat Knight Stage. He’ll be rolling out some of his classic pieces, as well as sharing a first listen to some music from his upcoming album Vermeer.
