The Summer Market began as the Avon Summer Market in 2006, but was renamed when it moved to Lorain’s Black River Landing a few years ago.
While it’s on a river now instead of the lakefront, the two-day event still offers the same experience: a carefully selected group of more than 125 of artists, craftspeople, makers, growers, food producers and vintage collectors selling their wares in a beautiful outdoor setting enhanced by water. There’s plenty of green space to relax and chill, enjoy a drink and some hearty food or a sweet treat from more than a dozen vendors. There’s even a concert stage with live music.
