Enjoy a Feast & More at Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Italian Festival

Wed 7/7-Sat 7/10 @ 5-11PM

Sun 7/11 @ 2-11PM

One of the things we missed the most last year was Cleveland’s plethora of ethnic church festivals, ranging from Little Italy’s massive Feast and Annunciation Church’s Greek Fest to festivals honoring cultures such as Polish, Slovenian, Hungarian, Egyptian and more. Sure, some of the churches had “drive-through” events where you could buy and take home the traditional foods created by parishioners. But that just wasn’t the same as consuming them at a table with a crowd of friendly strangers while ethnic music was playing and young dancers were performing steps passed on from parents and grandparents.

One of the first major festivals to be back full wing is Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s 95th annual five-day blowout in Gordon Square. It will feature all the things you love about these festivals: DJ and live music, casino games, a  wine & beer garden, family activities, a religious street procession at 1pm Sunday, and food, food and still more food. And who doesn’t love Italian food? And just in case there’s not enough food for you, this year they’re debuting their “Food Truck Alley.” No one goes home hungry. Admission is free so you can buy more food!

  1. Why do you never mention the Italian Choral Group singers in your advertising, yet you mention other non Italian groups ? Also the basement singers ( Primavera ) are ignored & never advertised. Italian groups should be mentioned before other entertainment at an Italian Festival.
Why? Many must call yearly to get the Italian schedule.
