Some of us can never have enough chocolate, so the opening of Kohcoa (pronounced “cocoa” Gourmet Chocolate Bar, opening a storefront at Beachwood Place in July 2021 was welcome.
Ardelia Holmes and her 13-year-old daughter, Cherish, run the shop, which started as a pop-up at the same mall before becoming a full-fledged shop. They offer super-fancy cupcakes, loaded with extras such as the Oreo Funnel Cake with vanilla ice cream, Oreo buttercream frosting, cookies-and-cream cake, Oreo pieces, cookies-and-cream syrup, whipped cream, fudge, Oreo Pieces and a cherry on top. Their milkshakes are equally ornate. It might take a team to deal with the 20-ounce Unicorn Magic Loaded Shake, with pink and blue raspberry flavoring, a gold unicorn horn, rainbows, cotton candy, rock candy and more. And the 24 carat Kohcao Shake literally has gold poured over chocolate.
