Anyone around town who’s even dipped a toe into experimental cinema knows Robert Banks, who has been working in the medium for decades. His short films have played at film festivals around the world, and he’s been working on his first feature-length film Paper Shadowsfor almost ten years.
Now another filmmaker is taking a look at Banks and his artistic practice in an upcoming documentary titled Robert Banks: We’ll Talk About That Later by director Mike Wendt. Get a sneak preview of the film at 78thStreet Studios, followed by a Q&A with Banks and Wendt. Abut 25 minutes of the film will be screened and audience members can fill out a for offering feedback that might help shape the final cut. The evening will also feature Banks’ short film “X: The Baby Cinema.”
The event is free, but donations are encouraged to help Banks finish Paper Shadows.
