Pop singer/songwriter Kate Voegele burst onto the local music scene as a teenaged student at Bay Village High School, putting out her first EP in 2002 when she was just 16. Since her days of playing vocal concerts while finishing up school, she’s release four albums and most notably, had a recurring role on the TV series One Tree Hill, from 2008-2011, playing, of all things, a singer/songwriter. Her latest album, Canyonlands, came out in 2016, although she released a new single “French” this year.
Her stint on One Tree Hill gave her the chance to share her own music with a wider group of potential fans, so she’s still got a fan base that supports her tours. She’s doing a shrt early December tour of the Midwest and east coast that brings her home to Cleveland to play the Music Box Supper Club. And with exquisite timing, the gig is on her 33rd birthday.
Join in singing “happy birthday” when she performs with her former One Tree Hill cast mate, Tyler Hilton, sharing the stage. Former American Idol contestant, songwriter Casey McQuillen, opens.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. There’s also a meet-and-greet with Voegele and Hilton prior to the show, which is $50, in addition to concert ticket price.
