Folk Singer/Celtic Harpist Kristin Rebecca Plays Folknet Concert in Kent

Sun 11/10 @ 6:30PM

In addition to its concert series, which presents folk performers from around the country, local acoustic music nonprofit Folknet presents its Mountain Rose series, giving less exposed artists the chance to find a new audience in northeast Ohio.

Maryland-based pop Kristin Rebecca is one of those. The singer/songwriter/acoustic guitarist/Celtic folk harpist launched her career playing in a Celtic band with of all people, her parents, who took up instruments in order to encourage her interest. She made her recording debut in 2011 with the EP, Fringe, and since then has released both traditional Celtic music on 2014’s Where Fairies Dwell, and contemporary folk music on 2017’s Tales, Trials, Truths.

She’ll perform at the Roy Smith Shelter House at Kent’s Fred Fuller Park. Tickets are $7.
