You may THINK there’s nothing spooky about the Cleveland Orchestra other than how they can play all those notes without breaking a sweat. But they’ll be aiming to prove you wrong at the Halloween Spooktacular at Severance Hall.
Well, OK, maybe they won’t. It’s a family event, and based on the photos we’ve seen the costumes they’ll be sporting are more cuddly than scary. But they’ll be playing music noted for having a haunted edge to it, such as Modest Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre.
Get the whole family into costume too, because there’s a costume contest for audience members as well as for the musicians. Tickets are $15-$30.
