COOLNEWS: Morgan Conservatory Welcomes New Executive Director

Cleveland’s Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory, founded in 2007 by artistic director Tom Balbo, has announced its new, permanent executive director: Geri Eileen Unger. She succeeds Leonard Yung, who served as interim executive director since fall 2017.

Unger, a native Clevelander, was serving as executive director of the Society for Conservation Biology in Washington D.C. She has a strong background and interest in the arts, education and sustainability, things which the Morgan has always focused on as well. Unger has also previously worked at the George Gund Foundation and the Cleveland Botanical Garden, where she raised money for programs such as Vacant to Vibrant, the Great Lakes Basin and urban farming.
