Artist Hannah Manocchio Shows Tarot Woodcuts in Cleveland Heights

Sat 7/27 @ 6-9PM

Cleveland-based printmaker Hannah Manocchio has been fascinated by the history and design of tarot cards since she was a student at Elmhurst College, where she graduated with a fine arts degree in 2013. She’s been developing a series of tarot prints since then, while also running her print shop, Snakes + Acey’s, in Little Italy, and selling her designs at local boutiques and markets.

Now you have the chance to see her tarot series, her labor of love, hanging on the wall in a gallery — the new Blank Canvas CLE (2174 Lee Road) in Cleveland Heights (not to be confused with Blank Canvas Theatre in Gordon Square’s 78th Street Studios). PerManus/By the Hand: a reinterpretation of tarot features 22 reductive woodcuts, hand carved and printed by Manocchio, featuring the Major Arcana of Tarot.

It opens with a reception from 6-9pm Sat 7/27. Live tarot readings will be available as well.
