Fri 4/19 @ 5PM
The sounds of Americana, bluegrass, country and singer/songwriter music will be echoing all over Kent, when the American Roots Music festival takes over 23 venues in town for one night.
Some of the best artists from around northeast Ohio will perform in clubs, restaurants and coffeeshops: singer/songwriter Gretchen Pluess who just released a new album, sultry pianist/vocalist Rachel Brown and her accomplished Beatnik Playboys, blue-collar rocker Ray Flanagan, Akron old-school honky-tonk country band the Shootouts, Roger Hoover’s Hootenanny, the Hey Mavis Duo, the Crooked River Stompers Duo and many, many more.
Best of all, it’s all free. Go here to find a full schedule of bands, venues and times.
