The finished photograph hasn’t always been dependent on the camera. Whether it’s photograms or creating assemblages or otherwise altering the photo, the final result might be something very different from what the camera sees.
Cleveland-based photographer Christopher Pekoc, whose work is in the current Cleveland Museum of Art show Beyond Truth: Photography after the Shutter, will speak at the Recital Hall there about “Photography After the Camera,” sharing the ways in which photographers build upon images. He’ll talk about his own assemblages, which incorporate photography and other media, as well as the works of other artists in the show.
It’s free but registration is required. Go here.
