Soul Singer Donnie Lynee Performs at 78th Street Studios Third Friday

Fri 1/18 @ 5:30-8:30PM

If you’re headed over to Third Friday at 78th Street Studios — and you should, since you can see four floors of art and more under one roof without having to brave the cold — be sure to seek out local R&B/soul singer Donnie Lynee who will be performing their as part of Gordon Square Presents, which enhances the visual arts experience with performing arts.

Lynee is a graduate of the Cleveland School of the Arts, where she got her start, studying classical violin, vocal music and jazz art, and recording her own tunes. She’s performed at Karamu and released her debut EP Future in Retrospect in 2015 followed by a couple of singles. Early last year, she released a second EP called Live Now, demonstrating what a gifted performer she is.

She’s also a busy, diligent one. She’s just released yet another single called “Starting Over,” which she says she wrote after ending a long-term relationshio to move on with her live and her musical career. You can give a listen to it here. But nothing beats hearing her do it her music live.

All Third Friday events are free.
