Red Light Roxy is one of the area’s most vibrant and swinginest bands, with some of the area’s top jazz musicians providing the music and vocalist Eileen Burns providing the pizzazz. While their retro-style music from the 20s-50s is performed at the highest level, you probably won’t be able to sit still and listen, which is why they are also in demand to offer a soundtrack for swing dances.
They’re doing their final Swing Island dance of the year at Forest City Brewery, the “Swing Island Snow Ball.” They’ll be sure to work some holiday favorites in with their usual mix of jazz and swing classics, all of its danceable. And when they’re on break a DJ will keep the floor filled.
Admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
