Fri 9/7-Sun 9/9
The three-day NEOcycle festival has put Cleveland on the national map as a friendly town for bike riders. Founded just four years ago — the upcoming iteration is its 5th — it’s the largest urban bicycling festival in the country.
There are all kinds of rides you can register for geared to all ages and experiences levels, from high-intensity races for competitive cyclists to slow-paced rolls for beginners. (Even if you don’t ride, you’ll want to watch the night ride, an exhilaratingly beautiful experience).
Then there’s the Hub at Edgewater Park, a free festival where you’ll find food trucks, the Platform Beer Canopy, a tent with arts activities, and more than 40 outdoor lifestyle vendors offering everything a cyclist could imagine wanting. There’s also a music fest on Saturday featuring acts such as Bronze Radio Return, Carlos Jones, Uptowne Buddha, the Commonwealth and more. It’s free and open to cyclists and non-cyclists alike.
