Sun 5/6 @ 1-5PM
Remember the CiCLEvia events of the last couple of years? Well, they’re back with a new (and more descriptive) name, Open Streets Cleveland.
The concept is the same though. Like last year, there will be four such events in different neighborhood where a stretch of street is closed off to traffic accommodate bike riders, walkers, dancers, dog walkers and hangers-out. Various activities, such as games, yoga, art-making and performances take place along that stretch, which is up to a mile long and allows people to soak in the neighborhood at a leisurely pace.
The first event of the year will take place on Detroit Avenue between West 25th in Hingetown all the way to West 65th at Gordon Square. It’s free, and there’ll even be a free bike helmet giveaway as long as supplies last — so get there early!
