Cleveland Heights-based nonprofit Roots of American Music involves local musicians playing traditional American music in hosting workshops and school programs to teach about history, language and other subjects.
Its American Anthology of Folk Music benefit at the Bop Stop will both raise money for its programs and spotlight the type of music it utilizes. Four local singer/songwriter/guitarists — Diana Chittester, Ray Flanagan, Tom Evanchuck and Roger Hoover — will perform the type of classic roots/folk tunes that fuels their own personal work. Tickets are $35.
