Save $20: Classic Rockers @EricBurdon & @EdgarWinterBand Share the Stage @LorainPalace

Mon 8/24 @ 8PM

Two classic rockers on one bill evoke two different eras. Eric Burdon and his band the Animals arrived stateside in the backwash of the British invasion, just as some rock & roll listeners were starting to crave something a little less sweet than the Beatles. The Animals, with their bluesy, sometimes raunchy, sound gave it to them with mid ’60s hits like “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and “We Gotta Get Out of This Place.” By the late ’60s, Burdon had gone solo.

Now 74, he continues to tour as his always ravaged-sounding voice now suits his age. He’ll be at the Lorain Palace Theater with singer/keyboard player Edgar Winter, who had his hits about the time Burdon’s dried up. In fact, his career rode on two, both in 1973, that are still bar band/classic rock radio staples: “Free Ride” and “Frankenstein.”

There’ll be a lot of memories on that stage. Tickets are $30-$75.
