Along with Cleveland Public Theatre and Near West Theatre, The Capital Theatre is the third leg of the theater arts stool standing firmly in the Gordon Square Arts District. Unlike its two counterparts, The Capital is a place for film and has three screens.
The main auditorium is classically designed, like a blast back to the early twentieth century when movie goers dressed up for the event and expected surroundings to match their formal evening out. While The Capital Theatre features independent, foreign and documentary films, it also screens currently-running movies as well.
