I wonder if right about now, Alliance quartet the Ohio Weather Band isn’t regretting their name choice.
Together around three years, the band — which features four longtime friends: guitarist/vocalist Corey King, bassist/vocalist Derek Strata, keyboardist/vocalist Ray Lumpp, and drummer Pete Childerson — has only recently stabilized and started to play around the region regularly.
The band’s finally recorded an album they’re happy with and ready to release. It showcases their classic rock-influenced sound that contains strains of southern and blues/boogie rock.
They’ll celebrate the self-titled release with a show at Musica. Cody Martin and the Hawkeyes open. Don’t come to complain about the lingering winter weather; they can’t do anything about that.
Admission is $7.
