VIDEO: Shop Special @ Etc.
“Special Things for Special People”

By Julie Cajigas

Erin Link decided to become a business owner after years of selling retail for someone else. A resident of Amherst for 20 years, she chose to open up shop in Downtown Amherst, a growing area that mixes historical locales with up-and-coming retail, pubs and eats. Link wanted to create a unique shopping experience in the town she loves. “I want people to relax in my store, and I want it to have a community feel.” While the products themselves are crafted all over the country, Erin is a local business owner who is invested in her community and the local economy.

Watch this Cool Cleveland exclusive video interview with Erin Link in her new shop, “Etc.”

Special Things for Special People is the Etc. tagline, and the products inside are a testament to Link’s creative selection and passion for fashion. Filled with unique tops, scarves, hats (like the one I’m wearing in the video) and jewelry, the shop is a destination for fashion purchases. In addition to elevating your ensembles, the shop offers entertaining products and gifts like aprons, specially designed martini glasses, gourmet food items and unique pieces like a serving tray crafted out of vintage records. With something for everyone, this new boutique is an indication of the revitalization of Downtown Amherst and the Amherstonians who are making a difference in the community by stepping into entrepreneurialism and building the local economy.

Congratulations on your new shop Erin!
