Do yourself a favor – for the $100 for a family of 4 admission price – buy a nice aqaurium at home and stock it with beautiful fish instead of supporting this FOR PROFIT corporate aquarium that charges prices that eliminate the middle class and lower class frm enjoying. You’ll be out of there in an hour anyway. You’ll spend more time driving there. finding it, parking and by the way, its in an isolated area. $16 admission for a 3 year old!!! No strollers so they can pack more paying units in. The person who runs it is a marketer – skilled in how to draw big $ in – she knows absolutely nothing about aquariums or fish or marine biology. This place will be empty in 9 mos. except for tourists. They’ll put in the must see Cleveland attraction booklets for out of towners along with the Rock and roll hall of fame and zoo. Oh Cleveland…

This place is an absolute joke. Piss poor layout, design, lighting, signage, price…. I was completely disappointed by the lack of professionalism. How in the heck did this cost $33 million dollars???? Prepare to be bummed people. I would never go back.

I, too, was disappointed. Earlier comments are all true. I have waited for years to finally have an aquarium. I drove 6 hours just to see the Newport Aquarium in Kentucky and it was so much more worth it. I like that Cleveland focused on local fish but that’s about all there was. I can go to the lake to see those fish for FREE. The Sea Horse tank was okay but its location caused such a back up that you waited 1/2 hour to see it for 3 seconds. The shark tank was so cloudy you couldn’t see them. I sure hope that with time the exhibits expand and some new exciting fish join our local fish.

I used to work at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and am looking forward to experiencing Clevelands new addition. I’m hoping for more see more positive data compared to the reviews that I have read here.

i took my wife and 2-yr old daughter and we loved it!
we pet the sting rays, saw jellyfish and took pictures with the sharks!
we asked questions and they were answered and everyone was extremely polite and welcoming.
definitely going back.
