In 1961, a new orchestra was born in Euclid. The Euclid Symphony Orchestra (ESO) was organized with sixty musicians from Euclid and the surrounding areas. Now, as we approach 2011, this Euclid institution is celebrating its 50th Anniversary season by welcoming a brand new Music Director, Kevin Eppich, who grew up in Euclid and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Composition from Cleveland State University.
In this cool video, CoolCleveland correspondent Julie Cajigas catches up with Eppich to chat about this exciting local ensemble, their upcoming concert, their 50th Anniversary Season and more.
You can see the first concert of the ESO’s 2010-2011 Season this Sun 10/24 at 3PM at the Shore Cultural Centre located in Euclid, Ohio on E. 222nd Street and Babbit Road. www.EuclidSymphonyOrchestra.com.
