The Terminal Tower, a uniquely Cleveland landmark, was built by O.P. Van Sweringen and M.J. Van Sweringen. Construction for the 52-floor multi-use office building began in 1926 and was completed in 1929. The Observation Deck on the 42nd floor has been closed for nine years since the 9/11 terrorist attack.
Cool Cleveland correspondent Susan Schaul talked with Terminal Tower General Manager Stephen Bir about how the Observation Deck has been opened for a limited four weekend time span starting July 10 and ending August 1.
This weekend, Sat 7/31 & Sun 8/1, is your last chance this summer to visit the renovated and re-opened 42nd-floor Observation Deck at the Terminal Tower downtown. The Observation Deck will be open from noon – 4PM. General admission cost is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased at Guest Services in Tower City Center.
