Last week, Tri-C JazzFest revealed the lineup of ticketed shows taking place in various theaters at Playhouse Square.
So now it’s time for them to start planning the music for the free festival, taking place outside at Playhouse Square Friday and Saturday from 3pm-midnight, where people can literally dance in the streets, while enjoying food, drinks, vendors and other activities.
It’s putting the word out to area artists interested in filling the 14 outdoor slots. These slots are open to musicians of all kinds, not just jazz. In the past that’s included reggae, blues, R&B, swing, zydeco, gospel and jam bands, among others. Applications are now open; deadline is Sunday April 2 @ 11:59pm.
