Larchmere Boulevard, just a block from Shaker Square, is lined with interesting locally owned small shops and a variety of eateries and taverns. And it’s been hosting its Holiday Stroll for 51 (!) years.
Come prepared to walk the length of the street and stop in at places like Loganberry Books, Fiddlehead Gallery, Larchmere Fireworks, Kings & Queens of Fashion, Mr. Gilbert’s Hats, Eclectic Eccentric and Monarch, where you can chat with the proprietors and support a local business. There’ll also be cider and cookies available at some of the locations. Alas, there won’t be any horse-drawn carriage rides this year, so you’ll have to hoof it — wear comfortable shoes.
While the Stroll is officially Friday and Saturday, some of the shops will also be open Sunday from noon-5pm.
