Laurence Channing is well known in northeast Ohio for his evocative charcoal drawings that depict the nooks and crannies of urban neighborhoods. He’s been exhibiting for more than 30 years, first with the William Busta Gallery and since 1998, with Bonfoey’s downtown.
Columbus’ Christopher Burk draws from the same well of inspiration — the city — eliciting his compositions from the forms of buildings and rooftops. But he’s not known up here. When he shares the galleries at Bonfoey with Channing, it will be his first gallery show here in Cleveland.
The show opens with a reception Fri 12/2 and will be on view through Sat 1/7/17.
