Grammy-winning classical guitarist Jason Vieaux has built a national reputation as one of the star performers in his field, while also becoming known as an influential educator. Since 2001 he has headed the classical guitar department at the Cleveland Institute of Music and co-founded the guitar department at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia in 2011. He’s a regular performer at the annual Cleveland Classical Guitar Festival, and tours the world collaborating with performers such as the Escher Quartet; harpist Yolanda Kondonassis; mezzo soprano Sasha Cooke; and accordion/bandoneon player Julien Labro, as well as more than 100 orchestras across the country. And since he’s apparently not busy enough, in 2012 he founded his Internet-based Jason Vieaux School of Classical Guitar.

This week he’ll be performing at Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Happy Days Lodge. Doors open ay 6pm; concert starts at 7.  There’s a cash bar as well. For tickets go to happy-days-lodge-jason-vieaux-in-feb-2023/.
