Hudson Library Presents Violinist Mary Beth Ions in Romantic Valentine Concert

Sun 2/14 @ 2PM

Violinist Mary Beth Ions is one of the busiest freelance musicians in town. She’s played with orchestras, chamber groups, behind major touring musicians such as Rod Stewart Barry Manilow and Smokey Robinson, and with her Amethyst Quartet. She’s a member of the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Trinity Cathedral Chamber Orchestra. You name a venue in the region, she’s probably played there, even at nursing homes and hospitals.

Of course, the biggest venue these days is the Internet, and yes, of course, she’s played there too. And she’ll be bringing her music to you virtually this Sunday for a Valentine’s Day concert via the Hudson Library and Historical Society. Lay out your brunch, settle down with your sweetheart and listen as she plays romantic pop tunes such as “My Funny Valentine,” “As Time Goes By” and “Isn’t It Romantic,” and tunes from movies and musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, and Doctor Zhivago.

You can listen to the free concert on the Hudson Library’s Facebook page, or you can tune in afterward on its YouTube channel.
