Nashville’s Wild Ponies Perform at Riverdog Barn

Doug and Telisha Williams comprise the core of Wild Ponies, although they are often augmented by other players and are part of a community of musicians in Nashville, where they live, who contribute to their pensive, often dark, indie-spirited music that grapples with serious issues.

They emerged with 2013’s widely praised Things That Used to Shine, which they followed up with Radiant earlier this year. It incorporates rock, country and folk in tunes that address not just personal issues but current events, politics and the changing social and economic landscape of America.

They’ll be returning to the Riverdog Barn to perform those new songs, along with older ones. It’s a $15 donation at the gate; $5 for students, kids 12 and under free. As usual, it’s BYOB; bring snacks and a picnic if you choose. Parking reservations are advised since parking is limited.
