Tue 9/19 @ 8-11PM
Third Tuesdays get lively — and noisy —at the BOP STOP. That’s when it hosts its Outlab: Experiments in Improvised Music jam sessions. You could hear just about anything from ambient soundscapes to ear-assaulting noise: It depends on who shows up and the chemistry between the players.
Musicians of all levels of experience and skill — and an adventurous spirit— are invited to come down and bring musical instruments or any sound-making device (drums and keyboard are provided but bring your own amp if you need one) to join in a collective group improvisation. You can also just come and listen.
There are no “rules” — it’s freeform, after all — but they do have suggested “guidelines”: “1) to direct our explorations along the most productive and positive lines, and 2) to engage the widest possible variety of individuals from Greater Cleveland’s rich and diverse music scenes.”
It’s free although donations will be gratefully accepted.
