Throughout September, Canalway Partners is hosting its family-friendly Towpath Strolls on Friday evenings with a different theme and partners each week.
The theme for Friday September 22 is “art walk,” very much in keeping with the culturally active Tremont neighborhood it’s taking place in. Gather at the plaza by the former Sokolowski’s to start your walk along the trail, where you’ll find artists stationed at various place making art and helping you make some as well.
You’ll encounter chalk artists Debra Sue Solecki and Claudio Orso-Giacone, urban plein air watercolor artist Jeff Suntala, Heights poet laureate Siaara Freeman, and poets from Poetry Free Cleveland. The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Studio Go will also be there to help people create their own Dream Jars.
