Lauren Yee’s 2018 play The Great Leap revolves around basketball but it’s not one of those shallow crowd-pleasers community theaters love. Now onstage at the Cleveland Play House, it focuses on a college basketball team that travels to China for what it believes is a friendly competition which turns into something else entirely.
