Apollo’s Fire Makes Old Music Accessible at Three Family Concerts

Sat 3/9 @ 11AM

Sat 3/9 @ 3:30PM

Sun 3/10 @ 2PM

This weekend, Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s baroque orchestra, reaches out to its audience of the future with a series of family concerts suitable for all ages.  At these shows, they’ll explore the roots of baroque music traveling from 16th-century Spain to Latin America, explaining the backgrounds of the compositions and instruments used to perform them. After the 45-minute program, they’ll host one of their popular Instrumental Petting Zoos, where audience members can try out some of the instruments.

They’ll be at the Pivot Center of Cleveland’s west side Saturday March 9 at 11am, at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History at 3:30pm the same day, and at the Akron Art museum on Sunday March 10 at 2pm. The programs are free.
