PHOTOSTREAM: New Mural @ Graffiti HeArt by Anastasia Pantsios

Wed 7/29-Mon 8/3

New York-based artist Beau Stanton spent almost a week in Cleveland, creating a new mural on a blank wall that adjoins Graffiti HeArt, an organization founded to connect street artists with commissions and scholarship. Stanton has done public art around the world, but he gave the mural, which he painted mostly single-handedly, including through some rainy days, a distinctly local flavor, inspired by the Guardians of Transportation on the Carnegie Lorain Bridge.

All week people dropped into watch, and on Saturday, DJs spun music and made it a festive party. Even the League of Women Voters was there, with a table providing voter registration and mail-in ballot application information.

It’s all done so drop by and see it!
