The 63-year-old Cleveland Arts Prize (CAP) organization, which makes awards to outstanding artists and arts organizations in northeast Ohio, has announced that Effie A. Tsengas will serve as its interim executive director, which was effective April 10. She has been on its Board of Trustees since 2017. The executive director position was vacated in June 2021 when former ED Aseelah Shareef took a position at Karamu House.
Tsengas was Director of Marketing and Communications for Kent State University’s College of the Arts for more than 20 years, after serving as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Kethe KSU School of Theatre & Dance and its professional summer theater, Porthouse Theatre.
