Now’s the time of year when those church festivals usually start to proliferate, with parking lots and church basements filled with a global feast of food, drink, music and dance from Poland, Italy, Greece, Lithuania and many other countries,
Alas, like everything else, that’s evaporated this year. But St. Mary Romanian Church on Warren Road near Kamm’s Corners has decided that if they can’t offer all the ethnic festivities at least they can offer the food. So at St Mary Romanian Drive-Thru Food Festival you can pick up some ethnic delicacies to enjoy at home or your favorite outdoor space. You can order the food from your car, including stuffed cabbage, sausage, sauerkraut, chicken paprikash, polenta baked with cheese, schnitzel, mititei (grilled, seasoned meat rolls) and elephant ears.
Go St. Mary’s website for more info.
