Lake Farmpark Is Ready to Celebrate the Ice and Cold

Fri 1/26 @ 5:30-8PM

Winter festivals are bursting out all over, giving northeast Ohioans the chance to take part in distinctively cold weather activities.

This week the Farmpark Ice Festival returns to Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Chardon, with two days’ worth of activities. There is, of course, the ice carving demonstration , which seems to have become as ubiquitous and inevitable at winter events as face painting is at summer festivals. But there’s a twist: on Saturday expert ice carvers from across the country will compete in a speed-carving contest.

In Friday evening, the full-sized ice chair will be unveiled and people will be able to pose on it, as well as on the ice slide. And if that’s enough ice for you, warm up by the fire pit with hot cocoa and s’mores. There’ll be other winter activities going on as well. Get more information here.
