Up

Look up. That’s where we’re headed. Finally, we’re no longer waiting for a Superman to come save us. Instead, we’re generating our own solutions, starting up our own businesses, celebrating our own successes, and helping our neighbors in need.

A new art journal starts up, as does Sistah Sinema, internships are available (paid!) at the Clinic, and doors are opened up for mixers, open houses and holiday parties. Mansfield and Roldo are bringing up the past because that’s the only way to understand the present, and move up into the future. Reach up into the cloud and download your best friend this holiday season: the Cool Cleveland mobile app connects you to what’s going on in our region, not to mention all those videos. You might even win some of that cash we’re giving away just about every week.

We’re keeping Akron beautiful by recycling, and we’ve got the video. And even more video of that hotbed of startups: LaunchHouse. Plus a video of Dick Clough’s 28th annual Tour of Good Cheer. No one has to tell him who’s gonna pull us up. –Thomas Mulready

Cool Cleveland talked to Sistah Sinema Cleveland Founder Deidre McPherson, a 1995 Cleveland Heights High School graduate, about this unique group and its mission of fellowship in Northeast Ohio…
