“In his second State of the City address,” the sponsoring City Cub tells us, “Mayor Justin M. Bibb will discuss foundational work and progress made during his first year in office and look to the year ahead with a focus on public safety, modernizing city government, economic development, and breaking down barriers to progress for the city and its people.”
He should have a lot more substantive things to say this year than last, when he’d only been in office a few months and was still organizing his team. He’ll also answer questions that have been submitted in advance.
The event, taking place at East Tech High School, is sold out, but it will be live streamed on the City Club’s site. Tune in to find out how the new mayor is changing up things and bringing new ideas to the table after 16 years of Frank Jackson. Can he reverse Cleveland’s downward trajectory? Listen in and see what he has to say even if you’re not from Cleveland proper: a dying Cleveland is a drag on the region.
