According to news reports, those big Halloween stores that pop up in abandoned big box facilities each August are taking a bath on adult costumes, normally a huge profit center, as Halloween events for grown-ups are scratched from the schedule so parents and communities focus on putting together safe fun for kids.
But for those adults who want to do something holiday-themed, Café 1810 at Hale Farm & Village comes to your rescue. At their second annual Adult Halloween Nights, you can trick or treat for cocktails, wine, beers and treats at outdoor “pairing stations” as you explore the grounds after dark. There’ll be music throughout the farm (Abraham James on October 23 and 30, Brent Kirby on October 24) and Café 1810 will have a seasonal menu available.
Costumes? By all means, if you like. Masks — yes, definitely. Required! Be creative! Tickets are $25, and advance reservations are a must. Go here.
