Sun 11/26 @ 3PM

Thirty-nine-year-old Italian-German-American violinist Augustin Hadelich began playing his instrument at the age of 5 in rural Tuscany. He later enrolled at New York’s famed Juilliard School. New York agreed with him so he stayed. He launched his concert career following at first place win at the International Violin Competition in Indianapolis in 2006. Since then he’s performed with major orchestras all over the world.

This week he’ll return to the Cleveland Orchestra stage at Severance Hall to perform  Tchaikovsky’s 1978 Violin Concerto under the baton of Finnish conductor Pietari Inkinen. The Tchaikovsky concerto will be sandwiched between two works by Antonín Dvořák: his Othello Overture and his upbeat Symphony No. 8.
