Fri 2/4 @ 7PM
It’s Black History Month. There are few places you can find more Black history than in music, where Black people have made outsized contributions.
So the Rock Hall has partnered with the Detroit-based Motown Museum to do a virtual interview with Otis Williams, founder of the legendary Motown vocal group the Temptations, who were inducted into the Rock Hall in 1989. Rock Hall Vice President of Education and Visitor Engagement Jason Hanley will host the interview, which also features the group’s long-time manager Shelly Berger and current members of the Temptations.
The Temptations are currently celebrating the 60th anniversary with the release of a new album TEMPTATIONS 60, with many new original songs and production contributions from Smokey Robinson and Narada Michael Walden.
The interview will be made available on the Rock Hall YouTube channel and the Motown Museum YouTube channel Friday February 4 @ 7pm. It will remain available for on-demand viewing afterwards. It will premiere premiere on SiriusXM Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Radio, channel 310, and on the SXM app Tuesday February 15 @ 4pm.
