Sun 6/2 @ 1PM
Since the beginning of the year, there have been three community meetings to brainstorm ideas about creating a new Cleveland arts festival, convened by artists Liz Maugans and David King. This crowdsourced effort has been dubbed “Quest for the Fest,” and it’s still pretty open-ended, although some ideas are starting to rise to the top. While the effort was driven by the cancellation of the FRONT and CAN triennials and the CSU People’s Art Show, it’s not exactly looking for a replacement.
The next meeting takes place at the studio of artist Loren Naji located at 4814 St. Clair Avenue on the edge of AsiaTown. If you’re an artist in any discipline or if you just support the arts and want to see more creative activity going on, you’re welcome to attend, no matter your age, experience or specific interest. All are welcome!
