It’s been a while since Northeast Ohio’s dark, drone-y, goth-infused ensemble Flowers in Flames released anything.
Their self-titled ten-track debut was released in 2008, showing the influences of the artists they name check: Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, David Bowie, Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd. They followed it up with the four-song EP Everything and Nothing in 2012.
Nine years later, their third release, and second four-song EP, is available. Titled West of Eden, it features the tracks “More Than Ever,” “Too Much Too Soon,” “Crawl,” and “A Dream Within A Dream.”
