This Saturday, the Rock Hall’s outdoor plaza will belong to the kids, with a ton of fun activities to keep them amused and engaged. The free family event, dubbed Fam Jam, includes performances by the Rock Hall house band the Mechanics, the Beck Center for the Arts, Jesse Jukebox and the School of Rock.
But there’s plenty to do besides stand around and listen. The instrument petting zoo lets kids try out various musical instruments and think about whether playing themselves is in their future. If your kid is more into art, there’ll be take-home art projects with Future Ink Graphics and the chance to participate in creating chalk murals. Bubble Wanda and Balloon Twisters will be offering some fun options as well, and organizations such as the Children’s Museum of Cleveland and the Cleveland Public Library, as well as the Beck Center and the School of Rock, will be on hand to share what resources they have to offer.
